Overlijdenswebsite.nl is a deeply personal step for me. Strange as it may sound — I have a genuine passion for everything surrounding death. Not out of gloom, but out of a sincere fascination with the incomprehensible, and a deep sense of empathy for the grief it leaves behind.
That interest developed at a young age, when I first experienced loss. Since then, I have unfortunately attended more funerals than I would have wished. But it is precisely those experiences that gave me something valuable: an understanding of what people truly need in those difficult moments — and what is so often still missing.
That is what inspired me to build Overlijdenswebsite.nl. Not as a grand commercial venture, but as something that genuinely matters.
